What’s the Litmus Test?
A trusted colleague, who was “asking for a friend”, asked me if I was American First. I removed my sunglasses to be sure this person could see my eyes–I believe the “eyes are the window to the soul”. I was AMERICA FIRST before it was front and center in U.S. politics. When I wrote the article for Breitbart in 2014, I was attempting to put focus on the surge on the southwest border and Congress’ complicit knowledge and funding; the fact they were NOT standing for securing the border and the safety of the American people. BTW, the Budget Authority for the Office of Refugee Resettlement in 2014 was $1,016,000,000; six years later in 2020 it had more than doubled to $2,636,764,254; and, just 2 years later in 2022 Joe Biden’s request for funding is $4,629,947,000, a 75% increase. So next time a candidate says they are America First, ask them what they are doing about:

The Transformation of Our Immigration System
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) in 2016 offered the “promise as a nation of immigrants” to unite families, provide refuge, foster economic prosperity, promote citizenship, and protect our nation. Making promises to others.

In February of 2018, USCIS Director Cissna changed the mission and focused on “fairness, lawfulness, efficiency, as well as protecting American workers and safeguarding the homeland.” Director Cissna knew that the American people, THROUGH CONGRESS, entrust their federal agencies to administer the programs of the federal government. Sounds America First to me.

And now, just 1 year after taking office, the Biden administration has fundamentally removed the commitment to the American people and made a promise to welcome “all we serve”. The Biden Administration has transformed an agency which had “direct control of inspecting, admitting, rejecting, and processing all immigrants seeking admission to the United States with the Immigration Act of 1891.” Read the fascinating history.

Pima County Puts Illegal Immigrants Ahead of Americans
We sent Supervisor Christy into battle alone; he’s a SEAL team of ONE. In 4 to 1 votes, the Pima County Board of Supervisors is transforming our county–and, not in a good way! We have welcomed illegal immigrants during a pandemic in record numbers. The BOS approved $2 million to provide housing for those who are COVID-19 positive. We have provided transportation to shelters in Tucson and Pima County. In April 2019, more than 1,000 “asylum seekers” were released in Tucson in a matter of days.

Despite a resounding NO on PROP 205 (Sanctuary City), Pima County continues to provide a sanctuary for those who have crossed the border illegally, been picked up by Border Patrol, been released due to Biden’s failed policies, and then housed, fed, medically cared for, and transported with your tax dollars. Pima County Republicans are the backup Supervisor Christy needs. Follow BOS meetings and send comments to all Board members and the Clerk of the Board.

City of Tucson Defies America First Laws; Even After They are Passed
In 2012, the Tucson City Council voted to become an “Immigrant Welcoming City”. The Tucson Police Department shifted officers’ focus from checking immigration status. Steve Kozachik has challenged the state laws regulating firearms consistent with the requirements of the United States Constitution. He said his aim is to have the law “declared unconstitutional and thrown out plain and simple, so we continue to have free rein to enforce federal gun laws locally.” Time to stop this out-of-control Council.

Is America First a slogan or a policy for you? Whether it’s the border, election integrity, 1A, 2A, energy– it’s about the policy and 45 for me. Join me in doing the work for America.
