August 15, 2022 – “I pledge allegiance …”

“I pledge allegiance …”
I forgot to tell you about All Staff Kick Off day at the school district where I am a Governing Board member. We started the school year by demonstrating what is BY LAW required to take place in every school in Arizona. House Bill 2707 requires the following: 1) Schools must purchase United States flags that are at least two feet by three feet and manufactured in the United States for each classroom, 2) Set aside a specific time each day for students to recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag, 3) Set aside at least one minute but not more than two minutes at the beginning of each school day for students to engage in a moment of silence, 4) Have legible copies of the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights adjacent to each classroom flag in grades seven through twelve. That was how we started the day. It was quite moving.

Thank you, Representatives Lupe Diaz and Gail Griffin from Legislative District 19, for sponsoring HR 2707.

And the WINNERS are
It wouldn’t be true if I told you I slept well the night before election day. Using new technology, under new leadership at the County and the Elections Department, knowing the problems in 2020, after months of preparation, and fully aware that there were a lot of eyes on Pima County heightens anxiety. Let me begin by thanking the over 600 Republicans who were poll workers in the election process, the over 200 Republican poll observers, and the 25 Republican hand count auditors who gave their time and talents to ensure we had a smooth election. And thanks to the RNC attorney who was on the ground and addressed several issues on behalf of the party. Thanks to President Trump and Christina Bobb of SAVE AMERICA for working with us on the Pima County vaccination requirement. As we move forward to prepare for the general election, we will be reaching out for more support and will be offering more training sessions for those of you who are interested in joining us in the general election.

After months of campaigning, knocking on doors, making phone calls, sending texts, sending mailers, and speaking at every event possible, our nominees for the 2022 Election Cycle have been selected and the election will be certified on August 16 at the Board of Supervisors. Please find the list of our federal, state, and legislative candidates on our website. Please contact our nominees and give them support.

We rallied at the MAVERICK
On August 10, about 250-300 of us gathered at the Maverick to support our candidates. We thanked our candidates who were not elected and congratulated the candidates who are now our Republican Nominees for 2022. The energy in the room was electric. Our nominees are on fire and ready to get out there and win these elections. You don’t have to look too far to see why Republicans are on fire.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ad aimed at wooing Latinos says Democrats “strengthened Arizona by investing in small businesses.” The ad then goes on to cut to a restaurant menu that lists prices in EUROs. Are Kirsten Engel and Tom O’Halleran advertising for a “goat cheese platter” for 11 EURO here in Arizona? Do they think Arizona has joined the European Union? The DCCC has a six-figure advertising campaign to woo Latinos, and again they are so disconnected with America.  Disconnected and out-of-touch with the southern Arizona voter. That’s why we must VOTE REPUBLICAN.
