August 29, 2022 – They Built a House of Cards

The House of Cards
When I think about people I trust, I think of things like honesty, dependability, reliability, loyalty, truthfulness, and follow through. Those are important characteristics to consider for leaders—and I don’t see any of them in the White House, the Speaker of the House, the Majority Leader’s house of Democrat Senators, or many of the leaders housed in our Executive Branch. I see a house of cards. The past two years feel like we are in constant danger of collapse in America. People have lost trust in their government, and the government has become fearful and retaliatory of the people.

Dishonest, Untruthful
Arizonans don’t need to look too far outside to see that Katie Hobbs, current Secretary of State and Democrat Governor candidate who attempted to shift blame on the Republicans in her discrimination case, has a problem with honesty and truthfulness. She portrays herself as a “changed candidate”, redoubling efforts to better represent communities of color. Can we depend on her? Is she reliable? What I see is a candidate doing whatever she needs to do to get what she wants to get. Her follow through is for her own political gain.

Unreliable, Undependable
Would your manager keep you on staff if your performance rating was 38%? Probably not, yet the American people are stuck with a President whose job rating is underwater. Republicans give him a rating of 5%, Independents 31% and Democrats 78% based on a Gallup Poll. With high inflation and now recession fears, Biden is extolling gas below $4 per gallon; it was $3.23 a year ago! To quote James Carville, “the economy, stupid”. Can we reliably trust the economy to Joe Biden?

…”and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.” Joe Biden’s oath is to the Constitution of the United States, not illegals coming here for a better life or students who want to get out of debt. No, Joe’s oath may have been to the Constitution of the United States, but his loyalty is to the constituents who have elected him and who will vote for him (or his party) in the future. He has no loyalty to the American people and our Constitution. His follow through is for his own political gain.

Has the House of Cards Tumbled?
In 1975, following the resignation of Richard Nixon, 52% of Americans said they had faith in the presidency as an institution. In July 2022, a meager 23% of Americans have faith in the presidency. The important measure is that it is a 15-point drop from just one year ago. In 2020, with President Donald J Trump still in office, 84% of Republicans said they had a great deal or quite a lot of faith in the institution of the presidency. This year? Just 2% of Republicans said they held the institution with the same confidence; Democrats 51% with their President, Joe Biden, in office.

American has Become a Breeding Ground of Mistrust
I still can’t believe that we have United States citizens in substandard conditions, sitting in jails in Washington D.C. with no due process. The raid on Mar-a-Lago, the Steele Dossier, the impeachment hearings, Paul Manafort’s imprisonment, we could go on with the list; it makes me wonder why they are so afraid of President Trump?

If you believe in America First, Make America Great Again, Save America, or the slogans that have led the Red Wave since 2016, let me assure you that we cannot make it happen with the Democrats we have in office today. From the top of the ticket to the school board candidates, we must change the direction of our country. We must put policies that make America and Americans the priority of our country—America First. We must return as the global leader that America has always been–we must Make America Great Again. And, with your hard work we can Save America before it is too late.

Join me. Vote for those you can trust, vote Republican.
