I forgot to tell you about All Staff Kick Off day at the school district where I am a Governing Board member. We started the school year by demonstrating what is BY LAW required to take place in every school in Arizona. House Bill 2707 requires the following: 1) Schools must purchase United States flags that are at least two feet by three feet and manufactured in the United States for each classroom, 2) Set aside a specific time each day for students to recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag, 3) Set aside at least one minute but not more than two minutes at the beginning of each school day for students to engage in a moment of silence, 4) Have legible copies of the Constitution of the United States and the Bill of Rights adjacent to each classroom flag in grades seven through twelve. That was how we started the day. It was quite moving.

And the WINNERS are
It wouldn’t be true if I told you I slept well the night before election day. Using new technology, under new leadership at the County and the Elections Department, knowing the problems in 2020, after months of preparation, and fully aware that there were a lot of eyes on Pima County heightens anxiety. Let me begin by thanking the over 600 Republicans who were poll workers in the election process, the over 200 Republican poll observers, and the 25 Republican hand count auditors who gave their time and talents to ensure we had a smooth election. And thanks to the RNC attorney who was on the ground and addressed several issues on behalf of the party. Thanks to President Trump and Christina Bobb of SAVE AMERICA for working with us on the Pima County vaccination requirement. As we move forward to prepare for the general election, we will be reaching out for more support and will be offering more training sessions for those of you who are interested in joining us in the general election.

After months of campaigning, knocking on doors, making phone calls, sending texts, sending mailers, and speaking at every event possible, our nominees for the 2022 Election Cycle have been selected and the election will be certified on August 16 at the Board of Supervisors. We rallied at the MAVERICK
On August 10, about 250-300 of us gathered at the Maverick to support our candidates. We thanked our candidates who were not elected and congratulated the candidates who are now our Republican Nominees for 2022. The energy in the room was electric. Our nominees are on fire and ready to get out there and win these elections. You don’t have to look too far to see why Republicans are on fire.

The Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee ad aimed at wooing Latinos says Democrats “strengthened Arizona by investing in small businesses.” The ad then goes on to cut to a restaurant menu that lists prices in EUROs. Are Kirsten Engel and Tom O’Halleran advertising for a “goat cheese platter” for 11 EURO here in Arizona? Do they think Arizona has joined the European Union? The DCCC has a six-figure advertising campaign to woo Latinos, and again they are so disconnected with America.  Disconnected and out-of-touch with the southern Arizona voter. That’s why we must VOTE REPUBLICAN.

Our Republican candidates in Pima County are ready to win elections and they will need us as their boots on the ground to make it happen.
 
The Message
Jim and I went to a different church with some friends Sunday morning. Here was my take-away from the sermon:  The tribes that didn’t show up were never given the opportunity again. It was a particularly dark period for Israel under the oppression of King Jabin of Canaan. Here’s how it applies to us today:
 

  • They were very dark times, and the people were oppressed
  • They were outnumbered
  • Men and women worked together and realized the importance of working together
  • They believed they could win; they had faith
  • They showed up to do the work; some of the tribes did not show up to fight
  • It was a fight between good and evil
  • The right people were in the right place at the right time (read about Heber and Jael)
  • They WON

 
According to the Pastor, the tribes that did not show up—the objectors—never got a call up again. Throughout the sermon, I thought about you and me. I thought about our upcoming election and the similarities. We are being called into battle now. Our candidates need us; our party needs us to deliver a win.
 
The Ask
Figure out how you can work together throughout the next 92 days. We are going to have a unity rally on Wednesday evening, and it is just that—unity. It’s our opportunity to work together, for our candidates to build their teams, for us to learn about ballot initiatives—and how to stop them, to get ready to work the polls in November, and to put the past behind us.
 
Please thank all our candidates who ran for public office.  This was the most amazing campaign season. The voters spoke and now let’s defeat the Democrats. Join me. This will be fun.

And the Rest of the Story
After working together, man and woman, different tribes, there was peace within the land for 40 years.  That’s unity.  Let’s make that happen.

August 1, 2022 – Call in the Girls

Pushing their Radical Agenda against our Children as they Lead Us into War

There are 100 days until we can reject the insane, far-left policies of the Democrats. Embedded in every executive level department and agency are the most radical left activists serving in government positions forcing their left-wing ideology through programs with strings attached.

No Free Lunch
There is no free lunch. To President Biden, “… your Administration would take lunch money away from our kids and grandkids in pursuit of a radical agenda that has no basis in science and is not supported by the vast majority of the American people”. Fifteen GOP governors (Governor Ducey included) sent a letter to President Biden questioning the USDA and DOE’s misguided interpretation of Title IX—using gender identity rather than sex. This interpretation and push of the left’s radical agenda endangers school-aged girls. Recently at Ranger College several girls at a cheerleading camp locked themselves in a room in fear when a transgender cheerleader allegedly choked a teammate. 99.42% of the population is being forced to comply with these far-left policies accommodating .58% of the population. To force transgender policies, this administration is holding our children hostage to free and reduced lunches which are sometimes the only meal a child eats in a day. Here in Pima County, we have children who depend on that meal.

Call In the Girls
For the last 18 months, we have watched as Democrats have slipped their far-left policies into legislation and regulation. The fight over whether women should be required to register for a potential draft has been revived in Congress and the proposal is back in the version of the National Defense Authorization Act, or NDAA, making its way through the Senate. Conservatives are vowing a fierce fight against what they refer to as “drafting our daughters”. In June 2022, the Senate Armed Services Committee voted 20-6 to require women to register for the draft as part of its version of this year’s NDAA. The House Armed Services Committee does not contain a similar provision despite their support last year. When combat jobs were opened to women in 2015, Congress followed by requiring women register for the draft in the 2016 NDAA. It did not pass in 2016. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand, D-NY, is a supporter of “drafting our daughters” and stated this year’s NDAA is one of the “important programs and measures that are now on their way to becoming law”. She believes that “to say only men are needed in that moment of a national emergency is outrageous and obscene”. What should be more concerning to the Senate and House Armed Services Committees as they draft the NDAA are the facts that:

  • 70% of people between 17-24 are unqualified for military service,
  • 17% of Active Component Soldiers and 25% of Reserve/National Guard Soldiers are obese, and
  • 37,000 of Active Component non-deployable Soldiers are non-deployable due to medical reasons.

‘Cause War May be Coming
President Vladimir Putin signed a new naval doctrine listing the United States as Russia’s top global adversary. Putin believes the strategic policy of the US to dominate the world’s oceans is a threat. China is thinking that as well. China warned of a firm and absolute response if Nancy Pelosi visits Taiwan. If China’s threats lead to actual harm, that is a Declaration of War. Meanwhile, Chinese and Russian warships are near the disputed East China Sea islands. And just one month ago, Biden threw out the stability in the Middle East that was achieved by President Trump and his administration. And let us not forget the war in Ukraine—a war which we are supporting.

Tomorrow you MUST vote. As you look to select a Senator and a member of Congress, consider what they will be facing when he/she arrives in Congress. As you select a Governor, consider how they will handle the Free and Reduced Lunch programs in our state. Choose wisely as if your life depends on it; it just might.

July 25, 2022 – Tested in the Darkest of Moments

Tested in the Darkest of Moments
Jim and I watched the movie We Are Marshall this week. I can’t imagine the heartbreak in Huntington, WVa, on November 14, 1970, when Southern Airlines Flight 932 crashed killing all 75 passengers aboard–the Marshall University football team, coaching staff, and fans. The movie depicted the division in the community, the University, and even the players about building back the football program at Marshall University. It reminded me of the tragedy of 9-11. We lost friends and neighbors in the Pentagon. Our little Virginia suburb was devastated by the losses. Our daughter had friends who lost a parent. Sometimes through those darkest hours, there just doesn’t seem to be any light, any hope, any future.

Many Americans are experiencing dark moments today. Whether financial distress, emotional or family distress, drug/alcohol/gambling addictions or being forced to make decisions among life’s necessities–food, gas, pharmacy; they are being tested. Our country is being tested with an economic crisis, border crisis, drug crisis, housing crisis, and a void of leadership at the highest level. They need us; our country needs the Republican values and principles to lead us out of these crises.

Hope Always Emerges
Coach Jack Lengyel came to Marshall University in the spring of 1971 to rebuild the team and to help heal the community. Leaders emerged following 9-11 and communities came together. People greeted each other with empathy that we needed one another to get through the grief.

We are eight days from electing our nominees — our hope for the future. Leaders from across the state have stepped up to lead our communities, our state, and our nation when they assume office. Coach Lengyel had to rely on a freshman football team to build his program back; Arizona has a bench strength of varsity players to choose from. Everyone has a favorite, but only one candidate will win.

But Can We Build Back
Just like Marshall University and Huntington, there will be division among us following the primary. Some of you will want to build and work for the candidate and some of you will want to walk away. The question will be do we have courage (strength in the face of grief) and the tenacity (persistence) to unify behind the Republican nominee and defeat the Democrats? It all comes down to us; to our Republican values, principles, and leadership.

The Future Can Be Bright
Marshall University won the Division I-AA National Championship in 1992 and was national runner up in 1991, 1993, and 1995. The Pentagon has been rebuilt, work continues there and the strongest military in the world headquarters behind those walls. Our future in Arizona can be bright with Republicans elected from the top of the ticket to the down ballot. The future is ours. Let’s build the team and keep the Republic our forefathers created for us, the America First agenda President Trump gave us, and the rights that no one can take from us.

July 18, 2022 – What a Huge Disappointment They Are

What a Huge Disappointment They Are
The leadership of the City of Tucson and Pima County are a huge disappointment. The City of Tucson denied a former President of the United States the opportunity to hold a rally at the Tucson Convention Center. The story was that the Trump team “stiffed” the city the last time they held a rally. So basically, the City of Tucson did not know how to negotiate a contract, execute the contract, and collect on the fees due. According to the contract, Item 7.c.5, it was the city’s responsibility to bring action against the licensee for noncompliance with the contract; they didn’t. BTW, Bernie Sanders owes the City of Tucson money, too, so it just proves my point that they are incompetent in the execution of normal business practices regardless of political party. Bottom line, the City Attorney slow-walked the contract and Tucson and Pima County lost out on a revenue-sharing opportunity the likes of which we do not normally see during the summer months. Not their loss, it’s the citizens of the City of Tucson and Pima County’s loss.

It Doesn’t Stop There
Our mock elections which were held by the Department of Elections had problems. The Department is understaffed, the staff has not received the training necessary to accomplish their jobs, the equipment and supplies were not ready to go when early voting started, and it took the Pima County Republican Party to take legal action to “motivate” our Pima County Supervisors to recognize that requiring a vaccine mandate was going to make it difficult for the Elections Director to staff, direct, and manage the elections. Another win for us.

Our Recorder’s Office has told us that the Early Voting Sites are too small to allow partisan observers to observe the process, then they said their staff wasn’t prepared to have other people there and they weren’t trained to answer their questions, then they said they didn’t have written policies and procedures for observers. Whatever the issue, the Republican National Committee (RNC) Legal team has stepped in at the Pima County Republican Party’s request and issued a letter to the County Recorder, Gabriella Cázares-Kelly, to “request your office reconsider that decision in the interest of government transparency and maintaining full faith and confidence in Arizona’s electoral system.” The letter was delivered on July 14, and we await her response.

So, What Do We Do About It
There is good news. The Elections Department has shared with me that they need 1,368 Poll Workers on election day and 608 Republicans have signed up to work. Excellent job Pima County Republicans! There is another category of intermittent staff during the election season identified as the Election Aides. Those positions are filled as well. Thanks to the hard work of the Elections Integrity Task Force/Elections Integrity Program and their efforts, the Pima County Republicans have lined up for the task and will be doing the work in the Elections Department and observing at the Voting Centers.

The Pima County Republican Party is on top of the elections. With the assistance of the Save America PAC, the Republican National Committee (RNC) and the Arizona Republican Party we have (1) stopped the vaccine requirement, (2) staffed over 700 observers, (3) recruited and trained over 500 poll workers, (4) provided legal training for poll observers through the RNC Legal team, (5) held the County Recorder accountable for not permitting observers in the Early Ballot Centers, (6) implemented a software system for the scheduling of poll observers in collaboration with the AZGOP, (7) conducted the Logic and Accuracy testing of the equipment, and (8) sent Republicans to participate in and report on the mock elections.

Moving Forward
The Board of Supervisors (BOS) appointed Jan Lesher as the County Administrator (April 2022) following the most interesting acceptance of Chuck Huckelberry’s retirement by the BOS. Constance Hargrove was selected from five candidates as our Director of Elections (April 2022) and Gabriella Cázares-Kelly was elected County Recorder in 2020 (January 2020). We don’t have a bench strength of experience in Pima County when it comes to elections. This clearly is one of those times when the saying “elections have consequences” really has meaning. Leading into 2024, we will address the Board of Supervisor’s seats, several of the City Council elections, and the County Recorder. We will make the operations of Pima County competent again.

July 11, 2022 – ‘Tis the Season

‘Tis the Season
It’s primary election season! The candidates have been working to introduce themselves, the ballots have been mailed, and it’s time to make some decisions—and if you are a Republican, it isn’t going to be easy. We have so many great candidates, our bench is deep with qualified people, and our Republican candidates have been all over the state/congressional district/legislative district to bring us their message. The signs are up, the commercials are airing, but our work is not done!

Hard at Work
On March 31, Pima County Republican Party sent Mary Martinson (Interim Director of Elections) an email with a list of approximately 120 election-trained Republicans ready to work at the polls. Sometime in June, Pima County Recorder/Elections Office started calling our vetted Poll Workers asking them their vaccination status. The Human Resources Department of Pima County had determined that to be a Poll Worker/Elections Aide—those who work and get paid by Pima County during early voting—they had to have the COVID vaccination. The Pima County Republican Party did not stand by, and we contacted our legal team and were, able on June 28, to file a TRO which would prohibit the county from requiring a vaccination for an intermittent employee. Interestingly, on July 1, the Board of Supervisors put an item on the agenda to remove the vaccine mandate which passed by a 3-2 vote on July 5. Interesting how a little pressure changes hearts and minds.

Still Not Enough Republicans to Work the Polls
On July 5, the Pima County Republican Party followed up with Steve Mares at Pima County to remind him of the poll worker names and emails we had provided to the county on March 31, 2022. We reminded him that many Pima County Republicans were trained and ready to go to work at the polls. Pima County must realize that not only has the Pima County Republican Party vetted Republicans to work at the polls, but we also trained them and sent their names and emails to the county four months before the early ballot dropped! Not only was the Republican Party prepared for the elections, but we also held the County to a new set of standards by which the Republican Party led the way.

The TRIDENT team
Trident—’power and authority’—teams are ready to be Poll Observers throughout Pima County. We have over seven hundred (700) people in our newly adopted scheduling package who will be scheduling their shifts this week to observe the voting process throughout Pima County during this early voting and through to Election Day. Our poll observers have been trained in a classroom setting and will have received the legal briefing from the Republican National Committee. The Pima County Republican Party will have maximum coverage by poll observers in the 2022 Primary Election! Our Trident Teams will be our eyes on the process to ensure free and fair elections in Pima County. We are more prepared than ever to ensure that you can trust that your ballot has been cast—and, cast properly.

Mock Elections Made Corrections
The Pima County Mock elections brought out deficiencies that required correction—and the Pima County Republican Party brought them to the attention of the Pima County Elections Department. We know what the most frequent issues were and will be prepared to ensure they have been corrected. If you have any issues when voting, please contact Pima County Republican Party at 520-321-1492.

July 4, 2022 – Happy Birthday, America

Happy Independence Day!

As Republicans, on this annual celebration of nationhood, we remember the Second Continental Congress adopted the full and formal Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. While the Declaration of Independence was adopted on July 4, most of the other signers signed it on August 2, 1776. There are 56 signers of the Declaration of Independence; they were all technically British citizens at the time they signed the documents.

Who Wrote It
A Committee of Five was appointed on June 11, 1776, to draft the formal statement for the colonies’ case for independence. The committee members were John Adams (MA), Benjamin Franklin (PA), Robert R. Livingston (NY), Roger Sherman (CT), and Thomas Jefferson (VA) known as the primary author. Freedom isn’t free, and never was that more evident than in July 1776 for the signers. They risked their lives and wealth as signers of the Declaration of Independence. Richard Stockton was the only signer to recant his signature after he was captured by British soldiers.

People Who Influenced
Many people are credited for their influence on the Declaration of Independence. John Locke (b. 1632, d. 1704), was a British philosopher, Oxford academic and medical researcher. Locke writes of the law of nature:

The state of nature has a law of nature to govern it, which obliges everyone: an reason which is that law, teaches all mankind who will but consult it, that being all equal and independent, no one ought to harm another in his life, health, liberty or possessions…(Treatises II.2.6)”

Locke speaks of a government who derives its power from the people. Many scholars believe that Thomas Jefferson derived some of the most famous ideas in the Declaration of Independence from John Locke. John Locke made the statement that all men have the right to pursue “Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Property.” In the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson wrote the statement that all men have the rights to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”

The Pima County Republican Party stands proudly today in celebration of our nation, the wisdom of our forefathers, the strength of our people, and our continued hope for the future.

June 27, 2022 – Bruen, Dobbs, Mock Election and Trump

The Unveiling
Friday, June 24, 8:05 am, and I am heading up to the Abrams Building for the Pima County Elections Department mock election. The mock election will run from 9:00-11:00 and give Pima County Elections Department and County Recorder an opportunity to demonstrate to their residents the new ePoll books and voting process. Promptly at 9 o’clock they came out and announced the process. Each of us would be given a “celebrity” voter registration card, and we would be admitted three at a time to the voting room. I am number 11 in line and became MARLIN BRANDO, born in 1924 and living in Tucson, Precinct 14—that is the celebrity voting card I received. My card has a note next to my name MAIL BALLOT RECEIVED. My excitement grew as I realized I was going to be a test case.

First Stop, ePoll Book
The ePoll books look just like your tablet, but they put my MARLIN BRANDO card underneath to scan but nothing happens. It turns out they had not populated the database with the “celebrity” voter registrations and so they were just going to use driver’s licenses. But I have lived in the same house for 15 years, check my registration quarterly, and knew that they would not be able to evaluate the MAIL BALLOT RECEIVED status, so I insisted on using the new alias—MARLIN BRANDO. He pointed me to the Special Issues table—where the line had grown because none of the ‘celebrities’ were in the database—and they were hoping I would just succumb and pull out my license. I moved forward to my new line.

Next Stop, Special Issues
I patiently waited my turn surrounded by so many masked individuals it felt like a surgical suite. When it was my turn, I handed my MARLIN BRANDO card over to be told it did not work. So, I said I knew that, but I really wanted to vote. To accommodate my request, I was asked what party affiliation I was. With my name tag in full site, I pointed and said REPUBLICAN. Very carefully, all of MARLIN BRANDO’s information was typed into the system, and I was a newly registered voter. I waited to see if I would have to show a photo ID and knew I could google a photo of MARLIN BRANDO, but was never asked for a photo ID. How perfect! Right on election day I was able to register.

A form was filled out, connection was made between the ePoll book and the printer, and I received my ballot (it was the 2018 primary), a red sleeve that said PROVISIONAL, and a yellow sheet that I signed that said I voted provisionally.

Voting Station Stop
Stepping over to the voting booths, I was ready to cast my ballot. I knew Precinct 14 was in LD 11, so I quickly checked to make sure that my ballot was correct, and it was. I made my selections and went to drop my ballot in the ballot boxes. It was a little difficult as there was media all over the room—cameras, people, tripods. There were two boxes for ballots. I had the red sleeve for a provisional ballot, so I was going to put my ballot in the blue box. When I went to put my yellow sheet in too, I was told not to—but I was confused because at my last stop they told me to put them in together. After some checking, sure enough, they go in together.

The Exit
As I exited the room, Nicole from the Arizona Daily Star asked me about my experience. I shared everything with you that I shared with her. Interestingly, she was using a steno pad (if you do not know what that is, 🤣) and a pen. Contrasted using all this recent technology to vote, but still using the old steno pad and pen to draft stories.

Talking to Others
It was interesting to hear other people’s experiences as they came out of the “voting center” as well. Here are some comments I heard:

  • Woman shows her driver’s license (she went in after me, I was the last “celebrity voter registration”). She is from Maricopa County. Poll Worker scans the license and says, “here you go Sylvia” to which she responds, “I am not Sylvia.” She gets sent to Special Issues.
  • Gentleman shows Concealed Carry Permit with no photo and is issued a ballot.
  • Gentleman is in one of the thirty new precincts that have been added since 2018 so there is no ballot to give him. They were not prepared to address these new precincts.
  • Woman scribbles her name which gets compared to the driver’s license and is accepted.

This was intended to be a mock election; a demonstration of what the equipment could do. Instead, it was a test, and we were able to identify the vulnerabilities in the process and the training requirements still needed for the poll workers.

Next Steps
The county and the poll workers were aware that the mock election was not going as they intended. Those who came to participate knew as well. There are a couple of things to remember. The last day to register to vote in the primary is JULY 5, not the day of the election. Photo ID will be required for the general election on November 8, be prepared.

Hats off to the Pima County Elections Department for holding a mock election. Now they know what they need to fix–and, so do we. Next, we have to remove the vaccine mandate for our poll workers and then on to getting our Republicans elected. Join me.

June 20, 2022 – Give me the good news first

Which one do you want first?
Anyone ever ask you that question, “What do you want first, the good news or the bad news?” At the macro level, the good news is the Pima County Republican Party is doing well, the bad news is that we are still a blue county and will have to keep working for several more years to change that. More good news is that Joe Biden and his administration are making our work easier.

Pima On the Debate Map
Arizona Debates hosted a Governor and U.S. Senate debate in Pima County on Saturday night. We had a great turnout and two great debates at the Omni Tucson. The Governor candidates present were Kari Lake, Matt Salmon, and Paola Tulliani-Zen. The U.S. Senate candidates were Blake Masters, Mick McGuire, and Justin Olson . Some good news from the debates is that we have WONDERFUL candidates from which to choose, and the enthusiasm of the crowd was fabulous. From the thunderous applause to the support from behind, Pima County pledged our support to the Governor and Senate candidates to win with them in November!

Meanwhile, back at Pima County Elections
The Elections Department says they are having trouble recruiting Republican poll workers for some vote centers. As I have said in previous journals, the Elections Department called poll workers and said that if they were not vaccinated, they could not be poll workers. Then the Board of Supervisors (BOS) lifted the requirement for election workers. But did they include intermittent workers? Is this an HR problem? Is it possible that the Elections Department did not go far enough and ensure that the #BANtheUNVACCINATED did not include the intermittent workers? That wasn’t the bad news. The real bad news is that the County Administrator, Elections Department and HR don’t know what the other one is doing! We only have 42 days until election day, let’s get this right!

The good news is that the Pima County Republican Party is moving forward and
1) hosting a train-the-trainer session today,
2) recruiting and training poll observers in never-before-seen numbers,
3) creating a sign up for poll observers to select their shifts
4) working with the RNC to provide legal training for poll observers in Pima County, and
5) holding Pima County accountable for a free and fair election

The Good and Bad News

The great news is that our numbers are growing in Pima County and across the state of Arizona. The bad news would be if we don’t get Republicans elected. Let me be clear on this, there is not one candidate running who has asked for the support of the Pima County Republican party that we have not supported. We have their literature at the HQ—signs, palm cards, bumper stickers—we have helped candidates across the state with their signatures and literature at the Pima County Fair, voter registrations, and within our precincts. Our Legislative Districts and clubs have worked tirelessly to have candidates speak at their meetings. We are hosting debates, keggers, movie events, trainings, and voter registrations.

Remember when you were in high school? Now there’s some good news/bad news! Some of us played sports, some of us were in plays/musicals, some of us played in band/orchestra, some of you (🤣) were in academic clubs, and some of us watched high school go by. But, on graduation day, we all graduated from the same high school. Next time you are sitting in an LD meeting or club meeting, and you don’t agree with the candidate, you have two choices: 1) DON’T VOTE FOR THEM IN THE PRIMARY, and 2) WORK HARDER FOR YOUR CANDIDATE.

However, when election day (think graduation day) comes, and we are all together working (walking down the aisle) toward winning elections, remember what is important—holding the Chairman seats on the committees in the Legislature/House of Representatives/Senate. I get it that we don’t all agree, but not one of us wants to lose this country.

June 13, 2022 The Wicked Have Schemed and the Results Are In

Righteous Men Will Rise Up
Are any of you watching the LAPD homicide detective series Bosch based on Michael Connelly’s bestselling novels? In one show, a woman tells Bosch “When the system fails, righteous men will rise up.” What a wise statement. This statement aligns with the book of Proverbs which gives us a subtle and practical understanding of life. In the Good News Bible, Proverbs 24: 15-16, it says “Don’t be like the wicked who scheme to rob an honest man or to take away his home. No matter how often an honest man falls, he always gets up again; but disaster destroys the wicked.”

This morning when you turn on your television, you will see the Democrats holding the second of their partisan committee hearings on the events of January 6. The committee was created under the rule of Pelosi who took the unprecedented move and blocked Republicans appointed by Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy from sitting on the committee—an abuse of her power for purely political reasons. In the political theater mini-series opening statements on Thursday evening, it became noticeably clear that they had a conclusion, and their point was to make the rest of America and the world believe what they want them to believe, a wicked scheme for sure scheming to rob an honest man.

The Wicked Have Schemed and the Results Are In
A Gallup poll asked “What do you think is the most important problem facing the country today? Thirty-nine percent (39%) said economic problems which included inflation, fuel prices, unemployment, deficit/debt, wages, taxes and 67% listed problems like poor leadership, immigration, situation with Russia, racism, healthcare, COVID, poverty, crime/violence; out of forty different issues, not one of them mentioned January 6. In a Morning Consult + POLITICO poll, 63% of voters believe that “things in the country have pretty seriously gotten off on the wrong track”. As we continue to explain to Pima County’s IND, PND, and Democrats why they should vote Republican, I want to use more of the results from this POLITICO poll (not a Republican partner). Here are the top four (4) issues of the 2000 people polled:

40% – Economic issues – taxes, wages, jobs, unemployment, and spending
14% – Security Issues – terrorism, foreign policy, and border security
13% – Health Care Issues – Obama Care, Medicaid, and other challenges
12 % – Seniors Issues – Medicare and Social Security

Disaster has fallen upon the Democrat party and the Biden administration. From the economy to security to lack of leadership, the American people have had it and are prepared to speak out on November 8.


The System has Failed

As primaries take place all over the country, it becomes increasingly apparent that Republicans and right-leaning voters are stepping up to the polls to elect the most qualified, competent Republican candidates to staff our state houses, Washington DC, and our state offices. Predictions across the board from Republican and Democrat pollsters and former elected officials are predicting a red tsunami in November. We are about three weeks out from the drop of the early ballot. It is time to elect our Republican candidates. There are going to be four to six debates in the next several weeks—U.S. Senate, Governor, U.S. Congress, AZ Senate, and AZ House. Our voters are seeing the high gas prices, no baby formula, prices of food (and now quantity reductions), the 10K migrants preparing to illegally cross our borders, violence in our schools and streets—what Republican can best represent our interests? Who will show up? Who will stand up? Please be sure to attend the debates; be informed.

He Always Gets Up Again
In January 2021, the windows of the Republican Party headquarters were smashed by rocks three times. The Republican National Committee was a target of violence and had a bomb placed outside the RNC headquarters. The Pima County Republican Party and the Chairman have had baseless claims alleged—they have tried; we have not fallen.

We may not have won in 2020, but now we have certainly stepped up to win in 2022. Time to tell our voters about our candidates. Get people out to vote. Bring your neighbors to the debates. Stop by the headquarters and pick up candidate literature, grab a yard sign. Join me in winning in 2022.
